Digital Television by Samsung Electronics
Our work involves researching and enhancing the digital TV interactivity i.e. TV talking to other devices over the Network. Multiple Handheld devices could connect to a television enabling multi-user applications like gaming.
Media Gateway by Thomson
I worked on the MFH3 IP Gateway at Thomson.
The MFH3 system uses DIRECTV Receiver hardware and enhanced software features to enable support for DIRECTV services. At the center of the platform is the MFH3 Gateway technology, which converts DIRECTV signals into industry-standard IP video packets, for delivery to IP-enabled DIRECTV Receivers. The Gateway has many features that enable efficient and near error-free delivery of DIRECTV programming. Automobile Diagnostic Tool by SPX Corporation
The 'Genisys' Tool connects to an Automobile using various protocols and collects diagnostic Information. This information can then be used by a person to figure out the problem with the vehicle. Our team was involved in the design and development of the next generation of Genisys, officially noe known as 'Pegasus'.
Set Top Box Boards by Conexant Systems
I was involved in the implementation of A Generic PVR (alternatively DVR) solution. I was involved in the implementation of the Demux Feeder and the Record Data Manager as part of the Playback Module. I was also involved in the implementation of the Metadata Indexing Module, which would felicitate in Trick-modes for e.g. SUBGOP and Anchor modes.
Analog Telephone Adapter by Conexant Systems
I was involved in the design, development of the Analog Telephone Adapter. An ATA is a device that provides a link between your regular POTS phone and the internet (to make VOIP calls) eg. Vonage ATA.
